Qantas Airways has completed another long-haul commercial flight from London to Sydney, Australia. The carriers said the non-stop test flight was completed in 19 hours and 19 minutes.

Friday’s flight, codenamed Project Sunrise, was the second of three research flights being conducted by the airline with the aim of establishing the viability of the route.

The Australian airline will decide whether to order planes to operate one of world’s longest commercial routes.

The decision is expected to be reached before the end of the year.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner that was used carried 50 passengers and landed with only fuel for another hour and 45 minutes of flight time remaining.

Research data, including sleep diaries, monitoring of melatonin levels, and cognitive testing, were collected.

The airline said the decision would be based on considerations such as aircraft price and a pay agreement with pilots.
