At least thirty-seven people were injured after a double-decker transit bus overturned in Devon, south England, on Saturday morning.
Devon and Cornwall police said the bus accident happened at about 11 a.m. October 5, on the A385 between Totnes and Paignton.
A Stagecoach Gold bus reportedly left the roadway for unknown reasons and overturned in a field near Lombcrombe Cross.
About 20 people were trapped inside the bus and were rescued by the responding paramedics.
A total of 37 people were injured in the accident. Eight of the victims had serious injuries.
The victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
The road was closed to facilitate an investigation into the accident.
The bus driver remained at the scene and helped with the investigation.
