One person died after two underground trains collided in Mexico City on Tuesday night, the authorities reported.
The incident happened at Tacubaya station at 23:30 local time (05:30GMT).
Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum said one person was killed in the collision. Twenty-five people were injured in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Although it is not clear what caused the collision, one train ended up on top of another.
Mexico City’s underground system has 12 lines and 195 stations and serves 1.6 billion passengers every year.
In 1975, thirty-one people were killed after two underground trains collided at Viaducto station.
