Firefighters rescued a pilot after the small plane he was flying became entangled in high-voltage power lines upside-down Saturday afternoon in Louisville Township, Minnesota.
Authorities received a call about the incident just before 4 p.m. reporting that the plane had crashed on 150th Street, according to Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
65-year-old Thomas Koskovich was flying the plane. Emergency crews rescued the pilot after the power was cut off to the lines.
The pilot escaped uninjured in the crash.
Sheriff Luke Hennen said the situation could have been much worse, but they were grateful the pilot was unhurt.
The reason behind the crash remained unknown.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
