An Oklahoma police chief is dead, and one of his officers is in jail for suspected murder charges.
Mannford Police Department chief, 44-year-old Lucky Miller, was found dead in Hilton hotel in Pensacola Beach, Florida, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
Miller is believed to have died after a “physical altercation” with another Mannford police officer, as per the authorities.
Officers arrested and booked the suspect into the Escambia County Jail Monday. Local news identified the suspect as Michael Nealey. He will face murder charges.
Miller had been police chief since 2007.
Officer Jeyy Ridley was named as the interim police chief by Mannford town administrator Gerald Haury.
The incident is under investigation.
