NFL Offensive Lineman Greg Robinson Booked in West Texas Jail after Being Found with 157 Pounds of Marijuana

Greg Robinson, an NFL offensive lineman, was on Wednesday arrested and booked in a West Texas jail without bond after authorities said 157 pounds of marijuana were found in a car in which he and two other people were occupants.

Robinson, of Thibodeaux, Louisiana, Jaquan Tyreke Bray, 26, of La Grange, Georgia, and a third unidentified person were riding in a rented car from Los Angeles to Louisiana on Interstate 10 through a remote section of West Texas.

According to court records, a U.S. Border Patrol canine alerted authorities to the car, prompting them to stop the vehicle in the Sierra Blanca checkpoint station. Agents inspected the vehicle and found 157 pounds of marijuana inside several large duffle bags in the back of the car. Other items found in the car included glass jars, packaging equipment, and $3,100 in cash.

As per the report, Robinson, through text messages, had asked one of the passengers, who was an Uber driver, and also drove and ran errands for Robinson and his family and friends to accept ownership of the marijuana, and he will pay him later. That person refused the offer and told Robinson that he would not have agreed to travel with them had he known that they were transporting drugs.

Robinson and Bray were arrested and booked in the El Paso County Detention Center. They face charges in conspiracy to possess marijuana with the intent to distribute it. They were both held without bond.

If convicted, they may serve up to 20 years in jail.
