Fourth of July Recipes:2010 4th of July Desserts – There are many different ways you can celebrate our independence this year. Every year people look for others ways to celebrate the holiday while they are shooting off fireworks. Many people opt for having small parties and get-togethers at their homes. Others head out for a night on the town. One of the best ways to celebrate the holiday is to infuse some of that spirit into your cooking.
One popular idea is to make an American flag cake. It is really simple to make and will not take all that long. All you have to do is bake a cake that is of ample size, and frost the cake with white frosting. Then, you design the American flag using strawberries as the stripes and blueberries as the stars. It is a simple, but effective way to add a little bit of flare to your holiday cookout.

Many different recipe sites online provide recipes that are holiday-specific. It can be hard to come up with fresh ideas on how to incorporate the red white and blue colors into your everyday cooking. Strawberries are a popular choice, and blueberries work as a great blue. Other popular recipes include red, white and blue potato salad, and a number of strawberry appetizers that incorporate all three colors.
To make red, white and blue strawberry appetizers, you will need 12 strawberries and 24 blueberries, along with 4 ounces of yogurt filling. Using a melon scoop, scoop out the center of the strawberry, leaving a bowl. Then, place the yogurt inside of the bowl that you just created, and top each appetizer with two blueberries.

  1. The cake was great it was the healthiest snack at the party! And while I sat down and ate a piece of that cake instead of ganing a pound I lost a pound. They were a successthey the cake was gone in 10 minutes so I took the car back home and got the spare cake in the fridge made so if something happened to the cake I would have another. And I took the huge cake to the Fourth of July party everyone was over-joyed about the back-up cake that one lasted for only five minutes! It was a success thankyou for the tip.
