Beck Rally Attendance

Beck Rally Attendance – The number of people that attended Glenn Beck’s rally has been disputed by various organizations. While it may be impossible to get an accurate count on the number of people that attended, certain organizations are likely closer than others. Crowd counting is never an exact science, and it can be hard to calculate the number of people present in an area like the one most of the crowd was standing in. The numbers will also be swayed by the interest of the counter. Organizers of the rally have their estimates hundreds of thousands of people higher than the estimates that have been performed by third party organizations.

Critics, on the other hand, have said that the numbers were smaller than originally anticipated. So who is right? Neither, probably. Photos of the event show that there was a big crowd, but just how big was it. Organizers of the event have claimed that there were at least 300,000 people, and potentially as many as 650,000 in attendances for the rally.

CBS also hired a firm that stated that the attendance is likely between 78,000 and 96,000. Still a large number of people, for sure, but not near the estimate that was given by the event organizers. In order to calculate the amount, they went over high resolution aerial photos and used a number of equations to come up with their number. These are commonly debated figures, and since there was no official count, it can be hard to know whose word to believe. The truth may be somewhere in the middle.
