US researchers warn increased instances of teen vaping with e-cigarettes

Vaping instances among the teenagers of America continue to rise at a staggering rate. While other addicts use substances like opioids and alcohol, the rate for use of the same has significantly declined in the last few years pending Vaping as another alternative.

The report filed out on Monday named Monitoring the Future was penned down by researchers at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research. This particular report is based off the annual survey conducted for alcohol and drug use. This also involved the testing of attitudes among the 8th, 10th, as well as 12th graders from the U.S. The survey conducted this year included a total of 44,482 students coming from 392 private and public schools across the U.S.

Besides drinking alcohol, it was vaping that bagged the 2nd position as a common means for substance use. The study pointed out to the fact that about 17.6 percent of 8th graders followed by 32.3 percent of the 10th graders and close to 37.3 percent of the 12th graders were reported vaping last year.

Vaping involves the use of hookah, electronic cigarette, or similar looking device for inhaling of certain vapors that might contain substances like marijuana, nicotine, or simple flavoring.
