Fresno, California (January
19, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in Fresno on Friday
According to the California Highway Patrol, the
auto-pedestrian accident happened at Shaw and Cedar avenues at about 8:30 p.m.
The authorities said a woman was crossing the street to Mcdonald’s to buy food for her elderly son when she was hit by a car that was traveling eastbound.
The impact of the collision sent the 5-year-old woman into the middle lane and was hit by another car.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorist who struck the woman remained at the scene and
cooperated with the authorities.
The second driver drove away.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
