San Francisco, California (January 14, 2020) – A woman in an electric scooter was seriously injured after crashing into a cement mixer at an intersection in San Francisco on Monday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of The Embarcadero and Bay Street at about 3:25 p.m.
As per the report, the 69-year-old woman was riding an electric scooter along San Francisco’s waterfront when she crashed into the truck for unknown reasons.
The woman sustained serious and life-threatening injuries
and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The identity of the woman was not immediately disclosed.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
