Santa Cruz County, California (January 24, 2020) – A bicyclist sustained major injuries after being struck by a
car on Thursday afternoon in Ben Lomond, Santa Cruz County.
According to the California
Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the 10233 block of Highway 9 near
California Drive at about 5:44 p.m. January 23.
A bicyclist was riding
in the area when a white Mitsubishi struck him.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the
bicyclist to an area hospital for treatment of moderate injuries including a
broken left arm.
The motorist remained
at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No other information was provided.
The police are investigating the cause of the bicycle accident.
