Delhi, California (November 13, 2019) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a car in Delhi on Saturday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle accident occurred at about 4 p.m. November 9, at the intersection of Bradbury Road and Flowers Street.

CHP said 44-year-old Peter Souza of Hilmar was riding a 2015 KTM Motorcycle eastbound on Bradbury Road when he was struck by a 1998 Plymouth Breeze driven by 62-year-old Luis Manuel Azevedo of Delhi.

The impact of the collision ejected the rider from his motorcycle.

Souza sustained serious injuries including two broken legs and was transported to Mediflight to Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
