Anza, California (November 10, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identities of three people who were injured in a suspected DUI car accident on Friday afternoon in Anza, Riverside.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 371 near Homestead Road at about 2 p.m. November 8.

CHP said 40-year-old Margarito Pacheco was driving a Chevy Astro van westbound on the roadway and was attempting to make a U-turn when it collided with a Toyota Tacoma driven by 42-year-old Top Metal Dragon.

The firefighters who responded to the incident had to extricate Pacheco from his van.

Pacheco and a passenger in the truck identified as 58-year-old Hongsa Insixiengmay were flown to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.

Dragon also sustained major injuries in the accident and was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment.

Pacheco was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.

No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
