Los Angeles, California (February 7, 2020) – A
man died after being hit by a car as he crossed a street in South Los Angeles
on Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the
accident happened on Hill
Street near Adams Boulevard at about 1 a.m. February 6.
Los Angeles Police Department said a pedestrian was crossing Hill Street when he was hit by a southbound Toyota Prius.
The pedestrian, identified only as a 34-year-old man, died at the scene
of the scene.
The motorist fled the scene of the accident. However, the involved vehicle
was found abandoned a few blocks away near the intersection of 30th and Hill
The suspect was located and arrested by the authorities.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
