Leah Meyers-McCracken Hit and Killed by Car at Cook Street and Desert Horizon Way in Indian Wells, Riverside County


Indian Wells, California (February 2, 2020) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a man who was killed in a pedestrian accident in Indian Wells, Riverside County, on Friday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of Cook Street and Desert Horizon Way at about 9:45 p.m. January 31.

22-year-old Leah Meyers-McCracken was reportedly in the roadway and was hit by a Honda minivan driven by a 41-year-old Palm Desert woman

Meyers-McCracken was pronounced dead at the scene by the Riverside County coroner’s office.

Riverside County sheriff’s office said the motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No other information was provided.               

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
