Laguna Beach High School Student Dies after Car Crash on Laguna Canyon Road in Orange County

Laguna Beach, California (December 3, 2019) – A girl who died after a car accident that occurred in Laguna Beach, Orange County, last month has been identified as 14-year-old Jasmen Wilkinson.

According to a local news source, the accident happened on the morning of November 5, on Laguna Canyon Road.

The California Highway Patrol said a 74-year-old man was driving Jasmen and her 11-year-old sister, Lana, to school when the accident occurred.

The driver, identified only as a family friend, is reported to have blacked out, causing his car to veer to the shoulder and crash into a parked dump truck.

All three occupants of the car were seriously injured in the accident and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Wilkinson, a student at Laguna Beach High School, succumbed to her injuries the following day on Wednesday.

No further information was provided.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
