(October 11, 2019) – An elderly man was hospitalized after being run over
by a semi-truck in Otay Mesa on Thursday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident
happened at about 11:15 p.m. October 10, in the 6900 block of Cactus Court near
The authorities said the 81-year-old security guard was
inspecting door seals at the gate to a freight yard when one of the trucks
pulled forward running over the man’s leg.
The unidentified man sustained open fractures and was rushed
to a nearby hospital for treatment.
No further information was provided.
The authorities are still investigating the incident.
