Berkeley, California (November 21, 2019) – A man who was killed in a car accident on Monday morning in Berkeley has been identified as 27-year-old Dani Bonilla-Ortez of San Rafael, according to the authorities.

The accident happened at about 5:15 a.m., November 18, on Highway 80 near Gilman Street.

The police said Bonilla-Ortez was driving a pickup truck when the vehicle became disabled for unknown reasons.

A silver Volkswagen sedan is reported to have rear-ended the pickup truck.

Bonilla-Ortez was killed in the crash.

The Volkswagen driver suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center for treatment.

No additional details concerning the crash were available.

The accident remains under investigation.
