According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened on Meats Avenue at Nordic Street at about 6:40 p.m.

The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The authorities closed Meats Avenue between Tustin Street and Canal Street
to facilitate examination and clearance of the scene.
