(November 29, 2019) – According to a local news source, one person was
killed in a car accident in Escondido on Thursday afternoon.
The fatal car accident happened on Mt. Israel Road
near Del Dios Road at about 2 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a 47-year-old man
from Escondido was driving a Toyota Tundra when he drifted into the
opposite lanes for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a Subaru Crosstrek.

The 27-year-old woman from Encinitas who was
driving the Subaru suffered major injuries and was taken to Palomar Medical
Center for treatment.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into
the crash is ongoing.
