Man Killed, 2 Seriously Injured in Miranda Car Crash on Highway 101 near Salmon Creek Road

Miranda, California (November 28, 2019) – One person was killed and two others seriously injured in a traffic accident that happened on Wednesday afternoon in Miranda, the CHP said.

The fatal crash occurred at about 1 p.m. November 27, on Highway 101 near Salmon Creek Road.

An SUV driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle and veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a Ford Excursion driven by Teresa Bowles.

The unidentified driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in the SUV suffered serious injuries and were rushed to St. Joseph Hospital by ambulance.

The CHP said heavy rainfall and hail might have contributed to the accident.

No further information regarding the crash was provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
