Santa Maria, California (February 13, 2020) – 37-year-old Leonel Tinoco has been identified as the man who was killed in a traffic accident early Friday morning in Santa Maria.
Police responded to the fatal incident at around 1:25 a.m. February 7, on West Stowell Road near Blosser Road.
Santa Maria police said Tinoco’s vehicle was broadsided by a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Michael Lee, 25, of Santa Maria.
Tinoco was killed in the accident.
Lee sustained minor injuries and was treated before being arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI causing injuries.
Authorities believe speed was also a factor in the crash.
