Cerritos, California – Luis Elenes, 46, has been identified as the man who was killed in the Cerritos pedestrian accident that happened on Friday night at Artesia (91) and San Gabriel River (605) freeways.

 According to the California Highway Patrol, Elenes was found lying on the ground under an overpass and at least one vehicle nearby.

The crash was reported at around 8 p.m. March 26, CHP said.

It’s unclear what led up to the accident.

Elenes was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities issued a SigAlert for the No. 4 lanes on southbound San Gabriel River Freeway at the junction of Artesia (91) Freeway.

There were no further details given on the accident.
