El Cajon, California – Roodi Shattah, 25, has been identified as the pedestrian who was killed in an El Cajon pedestrian collision that took place on March 12, at the intersection of Anza Street and Gray Drive, according to the authorities.

Reeta Haythim Mansour, 19, of El Cajon, was arrested following the accident that took place shortly before 10 p.m.

According to the El Cajon Police Department, Shattah was trying to cross the road when a speeding 2020 Infiniti sedan traveling north on Anza Street struck him.

The impact threw Shattah into a residential yard nearly 180 feet.

Authorities said Shattah was pronounced deceased at the scene following the accident.

The driver, identified as Mansour, reportedly continued heading north for nearly two blocks after hitting Shattah. The vehicle stopped after crashing into a parked car.

Police said Mansour was traveling at nearly double the 25 mph speed limit when the crash happened.

South Anza Street was shut down for an unknown duration following the crash.

Police are investigating the incident.
