Luis Romero Killed in Napa Accident on Highway 128 near Wragg Canyon Road

Napa, California – Luis Daniel Romero, 29, of Rio Linda has been identified by the Napa County Coroner’s office as the motorcyclist who was killed in a traffic crash in Napa on Monday evening.
At around 5:30 p.m. March 22, the California Highway Patrol said Romero was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Highway 128 when he swerved across the double yellow lines and sideswiped a pickup truck and an SUV.
The accident happened east of Wragg Canyon Road.
CHP said Romero was pronounced deceased at the site of the accident.
The driver of the truck, Tru Knudsen, 35, of Vacaville, and the driver of the SUV, Jacqueline Cochran, 32, of Vacaville, were not injured in the accident.
A passenger on the motorcycle, Martha Velasquez, 31, of Rio Linda, sustained minor injuries and was flown by REACH helicopter to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa.
A passenger in the SUV, a 14-year-old, was transported to Kaiser hospital in Vacaville with minor injuries.
Authorities said both occupants of the motorcycle were wearing their helmets.
DUI was not suspected to be a factor in the accident.
The crash is under investigation by the CHP.
