1 Injured in Fiery Crash on Lincoln Way near Grace Street

Auburn, California – An Auburn police officer was injured Tuesday night in an Auburn crash in the 200 block of Lincoln Way near Grace Street.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., the officer was chasing a dirt bike that had failed to yield when the officer’s car crashed into a curb for unknown reasons.

The officer was trapped inside the wreckage and was rescued by a good samaritan before the car caught fire.

The victim sustained moderate injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

One person was arrested in connection with the crash.

More information about the accident was not provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
