Linda Vista, California – Haley Kaede Takama, 21, of San Diego was among two people who died following a multi-vehicle crash that occurred Friday night in Linda Vista, according to the authorities.

The second victim was identified as Marc Anthony George III, 17, of San Diego.

According to investigators, a 2010 Toyota Camry traveling westbound on Genesee Avenue attempted to pass a 2008 Nissan Altima but sideswiped it.

The Toyota, which was being driven by George, then collided head-on with an oncoming 2020 Mazda driven by Takama.

Takama and her two passengers sustained life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital, where Takama died of her injuries on Saturday.

George and two of his passengers were hospitalized with serious injuries and George died the same day.

Three occupants of the Nissan complained of pain.

According to the report, the occupants of the Toyota and the Nissan were extricated from the wreckage by firefighters.

Authorities said street racing is a possible factor in the accident, which remains under investigation.
