Minor Injury Crash on Highway 101 in Carpinteria

Carpinteria, California – At around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, authorities responded to a Carpinteria accident on Highway 101 near Bates Road that left a man with minor injuries.

The man was driving southbound on Highway 101 when his vehicle veered off the road and rolled down an embankment before coming to rest on the side of railroad tracks.

The driver, who was the only person in the car, was able to get out of the wreckage and walked up the Highway.

Paramedics responded to the crash scene and transported the victim to Cottage Hospital with minor injuries.

More details about the crash were not available.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
