Two Killed in Visalia Car Crash on Highway 99 near Avenue 48

Visalia, California – Two people died following a Visalia crash between a 2006 Chevrolet and a 2003 Toyota that was pulling a trailer on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol

Shortly before 1:30 p.m. March 12, CHP said the Chevrolet was traveling north on Highway 99 when it slammed into the back of the Toyota and the impact sent the Toyota off the side of the road, where it overturned.

The impact ejected a passenger from the Toyota, who was not wearing his seatbelt.

The ejected passenger, a 30-year-old Bakersfield man, was killed in the accident.

A 27-year-old San Diego woman, who was in the Toyota, was also killed in the accident.

The operator of the Toyota sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The other motorist was unhurt in the crash.

Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.

The crash is under investigation.

Arin Khodaverdian, CEO and Managing Attorney of Alpine Law Group, urges accidents victims and their families to immediately seek legal assistance. “Those who are affected by tragedy have rights, but they must act quickly in order to preserve those rights. Swift action by an intelligent and experienced attorney is imperative in order to preserve evidence, interview witnesses and immediately begin pursuing any and all responsible parties.”

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
