Boron, California – Cedrick Smith III, 31, of Fresno was Killed in a Boron crash on State Route 58 Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At around 12:20 p.m. February 23, CHP said Smith was driving a white 2011 Hyundai Elantra westbound on Highway 58 when he lost control and overturned.

Smith was ejected by the impact of the crash. He was flown to Tehachapi Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Passengers in the vehicle, Doris Marie Drume, 51, and three children, were also transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The CHP is working to determine the cause of the wreck.
