Woman Hurt in Two-Vehicle Collision on Ashe Road in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, California– An elderly woman was injured in a Bakersfield Car accident on Ashe Road near Harris Road Monday night.

The elderly woman was driving a silver minivan when she tried to make a turn, but the car became disabled in the center median.

The police said the woman had not turned on emergency lights or headlights after the vehicle had become disabled.

A red Acura SUV then struck the disabled minivan.

The incident occurred at around 9:50 p.m. on February 15.

The elderly woman got out of her car to check the damage when she slipped and fell on some auto fluid and hit her head on the median. She sustained moderate injuries.

It is unclear if another person was injured in the crash.

No further information regarding the crash was provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
