Deadly Train Crash at Chesterfield Drive and San Elijo Avenue

Encinitas, California – A pedestrian was killed on Monday, February 15, following an Encinitas train accident at Chesterfield Drive and San Elijo Avenue, police reported.

As per the police report, the pedestrian was struck by a train for reasons still under investigation.

The victim was killed in the crash. Their identity remains undisclosed.

Chesterfield Drive was shut down between San Elijo and South Coast Highway 101 to allow authorities to carry on an investigation.
