Hayward, California – Jim Sanchez, 29, of Hayward was killed in a pedestrian accident on D Street last week on Friday, according to the police.

At around 9 p.m. February 5, police said Sachez was trying to get into his vehicle on the north side of D Street, near 2nd Street when he was struck by a westbound pickup truck.

The truck continued on and got into another crash at the intersection of 2nd Street.

Sanchez was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The crash is under investigation.
