Downtown Los Angeles, California – A person died early Wednesday morning following a Downtown Los Angeles collision on a Freeway transition road.

The California Highway Patrol said the collision occurred at around 6:40 a.m. on the transition road from the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway to the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway.

The circumstances leading to the accident were not immediately determined.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
