Rancho Cordova, California – The man who was killed in a Rancho Cordova hit-and-run accident in the 10000 block of Folsom Boulevard, near the Mather Field Road on January 29, has been identified as Christopher Ceja Ramirez, 29, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.

A suspect was arrested following the crash that took place just after 9 a.m. 

The driver reportedly struck two people at a business parking in the area then fled the scene.

One of the victims, identified as Ramirez, was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The second victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.

Jesus Santiago Alvarez Valencia, 25, of North Highlands, was arrested on January 31 in connection with the accident. He was charged with homicide and attempted homicide.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash.
