Jesus Olivares Killed in Oxnard Motorcycle Crash on Vineyard Avenue

Oxnard, California – A 35-year-old man from Oxnard died in a motorcycle accident that happened Saturday evening in Oxnard, the California Highway Patrol said.

Jesus Olivares was riding his motorcycle on Vineyard Avenue when he collided with a 2012 Toyota Camry that turned into his path.

CHP said Olivares was on a 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle in one of the northbound lanes when a 53-year-old Santa Paula man driving the Camry made a U-turn across both northbound lanes. The driver was attempting to reach the southbound side.

The incident happened at about 7:10 p.m. between Montgomery Avenue and Carnegie Place.

Olivare’s motorcycle crashed into the driver-side door of the car.

Responding firefighters found the motorcyclist down in the middle of the roadway. They transported him by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, as per the report.

Meanwhile, the Camry’s driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the firefighters. He was then transported to VCMC for treatment of serious injuries. The man was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

Authorities are investigating the crash.

We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
