Police Officer Hurt in San Marcos Collision on San Marcos on Highway 78

San Marcos, California – A San Marcos crash that occurred on Highway 78 on Saturday injured an Escondido police officer, according to the authorities.

At around noon, authorities said a 40-year-old woman from Vista was driving a 2015 Chevrolet 2500 pickup west on SR 78 when the left rear wheel came off the truck.

The wheel crossed over the center median and into the eastbound lanes, where it struck a Ford Explorer Police Interceptor. The wheel continued on and hit a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 22-year-old Escondido woman.

The police officer sustained minor injuries.

It’s unclear whether anyone else was hurt in the accident.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.

Arin Khodaverdian, CEO and Managing Attorney of Alpine Law Group, urges accidents victims and their families to immediately seek legal assistance. “Those who are affected by tragedy have rights, but they must act quickly in order to preserve those rights. Swift action by an intelligent and experienced attorney is imperative in order to preserve evidence, interview witnesses and immediately begin pursuing any and all responsible parties.”

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
