Perris, California – Police arrested Nathan Craig Rogers, 28, of Perris on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run causing death following a bicycle accident that occurred in the area of Goetz and Mapes roads in Perris Thursday night.

According to police, Rogers allegedly tried to flee the scene after hitting a bicyclist who was going through the intersection at around 8:30 p.m. January 14.

The unidentified bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rogers was taken into custody and booked at the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside.  

The crash is under investigation by the Perris police.
