Gilroy, California – A person was seriously injured in a Gilroy pedestrian crash on Hecker Pass Highway that happened at around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 14.

According to the Gilroy Police Department, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near Two Oaks Lane.

The circumstances leading to the collision were not immediately determined.

The victim suffered severe injuries.

The crash forced police to close the highway in both directions between Burchell Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard as they investigate the incident.
