Guadalupe Romero Dies in San Leandro Collision on I-880 near Floresta Boulevard

San Leandro, California – Guadalupe Romero, 31, of East Bay has been identified as the Good Samaritan who was killed in a San Leandro car crash that occurred on southbound I-880 near the Floresta Boulevard overpass early Saturday morning, according to a local news source.
Several vehicles were involved in the accident, which was reported at about 1 a.m.
A driver reportedly slammed into the back of another vehicle for unknown reasons. The impact caused the front vehicle to overturn, ejecting two people.
The first driver remained at the scene and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.
Authorities said the second motorist was not at the scene when they arrived.
Romero pulled over to help the victims of the crash but was hit by another vehicle.
Romero was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two other parties were taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley and Highland Hospital in Oakland with moderate injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the CHP.
