Palmdale, California – At around 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, a man, in his 30s, died following a Palmdale pedestrian crash on 10th Street West near Avenue N-8, according to the authorities.

The man was walking in traffic lanes when a 2003 Chevrolet, driven by a 25-year-old man, struck him, police said

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name was not disclosed pending notification of the family.

Police shut down 10th Street West between Avenue O and Avenue N for several hours as investigators examined the crash site.

No more details about the accident were not available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
