Taft, California – Courtney Curtis, 27, of Taft was killed in a Taft motorcycle crash that took place late Saturday night in the 1100 block of Sixth Street, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Department.

At around 11:50 p.m. December 26, authorities said a group of motorcycle riders were heading north on Sixth Street when one of them left the roadway and crashed into a curb.

The impact ejected both occupants of the motorcycle.

The driver, a 22-year-old Taft man, was flown to a Bakersfield hospital with critical injuries.

Curtis, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, died at the scene of the accident.

Authorities said speed and alcohol were suspected to be factors in the crash, which remained under investigation.

Swift action by an intelligent and experienced attorney is imperative in order to preserve evidence, interview witnesses and immediately begin pursuing any and all responsible parties.”

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
