Veronica Espino Killed in Escondido Two-Vehicle Accident at Broadway and Country Club Drive

Escondido, California – Veronica Espino was among two drivers killed Sunday night following an Escondido two-vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Broadway and Country Club Drive.

According to the Escondido police, a 20-year-old man was driving a 1990 Nissan 300ZX southbound on Broadway while at the same time, Espino, 42, was driving a 2006 Volvo S40 eastbound on Country Club Drive.

Reportedly, both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time and collided.

The incident happened at around 9:51 p.m. on December 20.

Police said both drivers were killed in the crash.

The identity of the second driver has not been released.

It was not immediately determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
