Steven Benedetti Seriously Injured in Highway 29 Crash in Napa

Napa, California – 35-year-old Steven Benedetti of Danville was transported to a hospital with major injuries following a deadly accident on Wednesday afternoon in Napa, according to the California Highway Patrol.

One person died while three people were injured in the collision, which occurred at around 12:35 p.m. December 23, on Highway 29, north of Robert Louis Stevenson State Park and Mount St. Helena.

According to CHP,  Sean Spurlock, 40, of Clear Lake was driving a 2006 Lexus south when he, for unknown reasons, swerved across the solid double yellow lines and collided head-on with a northbound 2013 Lexus driven by Benedetti. 

Jassin Williams, 50, of Clearlake, who was a passenger in the 2006 Lexus, was killed in the crash.

Benedetti had major injuries and was transported by ambulance to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa. His passenger, Richard Benedetti, 34, of Danville, also had major injuries and was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Spurlock was flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries.

The crash is being investigated by the CHP.
