Emily Hale Killed in Hemet Accident on Florida Avenue near Kirby Street

Hemet, California – The Riverside County coroner’s office has identified Emily Hale, 21, of Hemet as one of two people who died following a Hemet accident involving a suspected DUI driver on Florida Avenue near Kirby Street early Saturday morning.

According to CHP, the incident happened shortly before 4 a.m. December 12, when Jesus Rios, 33, of Downey was driving a white BMW 535i sedan eastbound on Florida Avenue. Rios failed to stop and slammed into the back of a Honda Fit hatchback that had stopped at a red light.

Hale was riding in the Honda and was rushed to University Health System Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased. A second person in the Honda, Dane Adkins-Radford, 21, of Hemet, died at the scene.

A third occupant of the Honda was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Rios was reportedly uninjured and allegedly tried to run away from the scene.

He was arrested on suspicion of DUI, two counts of vehicular homicide and attempted hit-and-run. He was booked at the Southwest Detention Center on a $1 million bail.

The wreck is under investigation.

Swift action by an intelligent and experienced attorney is imperative in order to preserve evidence, interview witnesses and immediately begin pursuing any and all responsible parties.”

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
