Carlsbad, California – Scott Hanks, 55, of Oceanside died following a traffic collision on Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad Saturday morning, according to authorities.

Hanks was driving a truck eastbound on Palomar Airport Road when he lost control and crashed into a retaining wall for unknown reasons.

Authorities said Hanks was pronounced deceased at the scene following the collision.

No further details were released.

The crash is under investigation.
