Arin Pugh Killed in Single-Car Crash on 101 Freeway in Hollywood

Hollywood, California – A 23-year-old Arin Pugh, of Los Angeles, has been identified as a woman who was killed on Monday night in a Hollywood car accident on 101 Freeway, that left a 2-year-old boy injured.

Pugh was driving a 2012 Hyundai Accent when, for unknown reasons, she lost control and slammed into a wall along the right-hand side of the freeway.
The CHP said the accident was happened at around 9:25 p.m. near Santa Monica Boulevard.

Pugh was trapped inside the car together with her son.

A good samaritan heard the baby crying and pulled him from the twisted wreckage.

Pugh was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident led to the closure of Nos. 2, 3, and 4 northbound lanes of the freeway at Santa Monica Boulevard for an unknown duration.

More details about the accident were not provided.

The accident is under investigation.
