Man Killed in Rear-end Crash on Foothill (210) Freeway in Glendora Identified

Glendora, California –Steven Manriquez, 27, of Rowland Heights, is the man who died Monday night following a Glendora car crash on Foothill (210) Freeway, according to the authorities.
Manriquez was driving a 2015 Toyota Avalon in the No. 4 lane of the freeway when he slammed into the back of a 2004 Freightliner big rig.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the impact of the crash caused Manriquez to be ejected from his car to the traffic lane where he was run over by another vehicle.

The incident happened at around 11:45 p.m. near the Sunflower Avenue exit.
Manriquez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver, Cesar Morondo,57, of Lake Elsinore, was not hurt.
The CHP said impairment might have played a role in the crash.
No arrest was made, and the accident is under investigation.
