Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 4 in Discovery Bay

Discovery Bay, California- The California Highway Patrol is investigating a Discovery Bay crash that left a 17-year-old motorcyclist killed on Monday afternoon.

The CHP said a Stockton Teen was trying to pass another vehicle when he collided with a big rig.

The accident happened at around 1:45 p.m. just west of the Discovery Bay Bridge.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.

Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

The CHP is investigating the accident. Anyone with additional information about the crash is asked to call Contra Costa CHP at (95) 646-4980.
